Kochi: The Kochi Police have launched ‘Swaraksha’, a project to make medical assistance available at the doorsteps of people remaining in home quarantine in view of the COVID-19 threat. City Police Commissioner Vijay Sakhare inaugurated the initiative, which is being implemented in association with Indian Medical Association (IMA), Rotary International and Reliance Jio.
Those who spoke at the launch function included Additional Commissioner K P Philip, Deputy Commissioner G Poonkuzhali, Superintendents of Police K Lalji and T R Rajesh, IMA Kerala State president Dr Abraham Verghese, Rotary Governor Madhav Chandran, Dr Junaid Rahman and Sasi Palayil.
