Kishore Nath who hails from Thrissur is 24 years old and considers himself a healthy young man. He is also a decent shuttle and badminton player. He usually plays at a club at night.

But for some reason, the very next morning he usually suffers from bad coughing spells, which often leave him breathless. Kishore also admits to having itching in the eyes and ears.

His grandfather is an asthmatic patient. Is Asthma hereditary? What is the possible solution for this? These are the questions put up by Kishore, who doubted if he were suffering from Asthma?

As per the symptoms, this looks like an allergic reaction, with a high chance of it being asthma. A doctor should be consulted to do a thorough heart and lung check-up and to ensure that the person is not ill. The doctor will also be able to diagnose if there is any disease.

Most of the symptoms suggest either asthma or some kind of allergic reaction. There is a type of asthma that causes only cough.

But if it is some sort of respiratory issue it is advisable to get diagnosed and undergo treatment. A detailed check-up is required as such symptoms are usually seen in patients with heart ailments. If diagnosed with the disease, it can be treated.
