The pre-wedding festivities of top Indian business tycoon Mukesh Ambani's son Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, the daughter of noted industrialist Viren Merchant kicked off in Jamnagar, Gujarat with sterling festivities. Celebrities and VIPs from all over the world have converged at the venue to attend the extravaganza which will be held from 1-3 March. Meanwhile, Facebook founder and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla arrived to a grand welcome at the airport. The couple were seen with garlands around their necks as they enjoyed the performance of folk musicians. Mark and Priscilla even posed for pictures at the airport.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan graced the occasion of the pre–wedding ceremonies with his family. The paparazzi were seen clicking the photos of the ‘royal’ family of Bollywood. Besides, Muhammad Alabbar, the founder of the Emaar Properties, politician Aditya Thackeray, actors Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, and Rani Mukherjee have already reached Jamnagar. Pop diva Rihanna too has arrived at the venue to perform at the event. Meanwhile, star couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone impressed everyone in matching white outfits. Interestingly, this is the first public appearance of the couple after the pregnancy announcement. More than 1200 VVIPs from various fields would attend the pre–wedding festivities.
Ace designer Manish Malhotra will be dressing the Ambani women for the pre–wedding ceremonies. The visuals of boxes of clothes being delivered at the venue have already become viral on social media.
The Day 1 celebrations called ‘An Evening in Everland’ begin at 5.30 pm. The three–day–long event has been themed and planned as per the nine-page long event guide. The guide clearly explains the themes of each day and the guests are expected to wear clothes that match the theme.
The wedding will be held in July in Mumbai. Anant and Radhika exchanged rings in December 2022 at the famous Shrinathji temple in Rajasthan. Meanwhile, the couple was formally engaged, in January last year, at Antilia, the Ambani residence in Mumbai. Grand festivities have been planned to celebrate the union of two of the biggest business families in the country.
