The co-founder of Zoho Corporation stirred a hornet's nest in the tech realm by stating that 'AI bubble is deflating'. The Chief scientist at Zoho further claimed that the corporate customers and analysts aren't excited about it.

Sridhar Vembu in a post on X (formerly Twitter) cited Microsoft's reported cancellation of 'US data center leases amid oversupply concerns'. He also wrote about Satya Nadella cautioning against 'overly optimistic projections about AI, in particular about AGI (AI that is super human in every dimension).'

"I am in the camp that overhyping anything is a bad idea. I am personally enthusiastic about some technologies but I will not overhype them," he wrote sparking a heated debate on the internet.

Meanwhile, the post received a great measure of assenting as well as dissenting comments. While some replies agreed that the AI is overhyped and that the AI bubble burst will repeat the history of Dotcom bubble burst, there are others replying that it is under-hyped and it is the 'default for several workflows.'

Sridhar Vembu is the co-founder of Zoho Corporation. Recently, he stepped down from the CEO position to focus on research and development initiatives as the Chief Scientist. In 1996, he co-founded AdventNet which was later renamed Zoho Corporation in 2009. Sridhar Vembu has been trending on Google recently.
