All-woman biker club aims to scorch the Himalayas
The organisation intends to train non-working women who nurse the dream of becoming bike riders.

Kochi: A few women in Kochi are all set to leave a mark on the roads across the country on their muscular Bullets and superbikes. The Women's Bike and Bullet Rider’s Association, the first of its kind in the district, was inaugurated here recently. The association aims to bring together the women riders and riding enthusiasts from all over Kerala.

The organisation intends to train non-working women who nurse the dream of becoming bike riders. The club offers assistance to women who wish to ride a bike. The club members are planning to conduct an all-woman bike riding trip through the major cities, and then throughout Kerala. Their biggest dream is to set out on a bike riding trip to the Himalayas.

The association, headed by bike and bullet trainer Sonia Gracious, also aims to train women in bike riding. About 15 women who have already proven their mettle in various fields are the current members of the association. Meera R, Lakshmi, Rashmi Ramesh, VS Vidhya, Jee Chirackal, Susan Roniya, Anna Monica, Ronsy Elizabeth, Sheeba Devanandan and Fashion Najeema are the founding members of the association.
