Kozhikode: Akiya Komachi's first photo exhibition 'Neighbouring,' is now on at the Lalithakala Academy Arts Gallery Kozhikode. The young talent is the daughter of Ajeeb Komachi, a freelance photographer, and Jaseena.

The subjects of Akiya's photography are the birds and animals around us which go unnoticed by adults. Akiya's lens have given them all a fresh perspective.

Akiya is sixth grade student of Venerini English Medium School, Farook College, Kozhikode. Her siblings Akhil Komachi and Akhin Komachi too have conducted exhibitions before.

The exhibition was inaugurated by senior photographers namely Choykutti P Mustafa, V Ali, Sunil Inframe. The show, which commenced on November 1 will conclude on the Sunday, November 4.
