Who would have thought all those postgraduate and diploma certificates will also help you enter the world of records! That is exactly what happened to this teacher from Kozhikode. It was Dr KS Treesa’s unyielding passion for studying that helped her bag a world record from the prestigious Universal Record Forum. She got the coveted award for being the only woman from India to acquire the maximum number of PG and Diploma certificates. She has received over 12 PG certifications from various Universities in numerous subjects like English literature, Sanskrit literature, and studies, three forms of music, Bharatanatyam, Yoga, Sociology and Public Administration.
Based in Chevayoor, Dr Treesa has worked in the capacity of a teacher for over three decades at Calicut Girls Higher Secondary School and is currently serving as a Principal at Baburaj Memorial Musical Academy.
She also writes poetry (with a novella and a book of poems in her name) and is currently in the process of writing her second novel. Some of her published works are on music and dance and has also got a doctorate in music from Kerala Kalamandalam Deemed University. She lives with her husband Retired Central Excise Commissioner PC Skaria and three children.
