Dr Sasilekha Nair, former Mrs. Asia International Charming and Mrs. India Kerala, has been crowned Mrs. Grand Universe 2021. The event was supposed to be held in Manila, Philippines, but was conducted online this year due to the pandemic. The organizers sent the crown from Manila, Philippines to Dr. Sasilekha Nair in Bengaluru. She was crowned by Mrs. D. Roopa IPS in Bengaluru on November 26.
An entrepreneur and a mother of two, Dr Sasilekha Nair is the CEO of the IT firm IQ Matrix Infoways Solution at Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram. A syndicate member of St. Mother Theresa university and Sasilekha is also part of an international human rights association.
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam is the greatest inspiration of her life and she wants to intensively pursue her work in the field of education. "Education can break the cycle of poverty. Nutritious food and proper education are the two things we should provide for the children in the impoverished areas," she says. The promotion of Indian art is yet another area she is aiming to focus on.
With her title, she believes that can reach out to more people through leading organizations and work towards many social causes to inspire and motivate women across the world. As an international title holder, Sasilekha is all set to work towards the social well-being of people regardless of race, colour, creed, nationality or gender.
As a Bharatanatyam dancer, she would like to concentrate more on this dance form and transfer it to the younger generation.
