Thrissur: Among the distinguished guests who witnessed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ascend to a second term in office and the formation of his NDA government was Kalyan Jewellers' Chairman and Managing Director, T.S. Kalyanaraman. 

A special invitation was extended to him to attend the ceremony from Prime Minister's office on Wednesday. 

Kalyan Jewellers' Executive Directors Rajesh Kalyanaraman, Ramesh Kalyanaraman and Kalyan Developers Managing Director R. Karthik were also present for the ceremony held at the forecourt of the majestic Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Thursday. 

Kalyanaraman hails from one of the oldest business families in India with a family legacy of 109 years in business. Kalyan group, founded by his paternal grandfather for the noble cause of nation-building and self-sustenance in a pre-independent India continues in its traditions to this day.

Kalyanaraman had met Prime Minister Modi and offered him his wishes when the latter was in Thrissur, Kerala, recently.
