Kochi: Kerala’s Minister for Health and Family Welfare Veena George inaugurated a new factory of Kitchen Treasures at Pancode near Kolenchery on Saturday.

The one-lakh-sq-ft state-of-the-art factory has been set up with an investment of Rs 40 crore and a production capacity of 1500 metric tonnes per month. The company said the new factory will generate more than 100 new job opportunities. The brand expects to achieve a sales of figure of more than 300 cr in the current fiscal.

At the function, Kitchen Treasures brand ambassador actor Manju Warrier launched Premium Chilli Powder, a new offering from the brand. Ashok Mani, CEO and managing director, Intergrow Brands Pvt Ltd, promoter of Kitchen Treasures brand, said the core value behind the growth of the nine-year-young brand has been its utmost care to product quality and hygiene which have been given the prime focus while setting up the new plant with the most modern machinery and technologies.

The company has also launched a five-point transparency programme called “G.R.E.A.T Promise”. Through the initiative, customers are able to watch the various production processes live through cameras installed at the new unit, visuals of which are available during working hours on www.kitchentreasures.in. In addition to this, customers can also visit the factory in person by registering on the website.

“As chilli powder is one of the largest selling segments of all spice and masalas products, we are empowering the consumer to view the various quality parameters of the batch of chilli they have purchased through ‘Know Your Chilli’ feature under this initiative. By entering the batch number data into our website, the customers can ensure the authenticity and extent of the product quality by themselves,” Ashok Mani said. The brand will also be offering a live communication channel via WhatsApp for immediate response to the customers.
