Actor Navtej Hundal, who was last seen in 'Uri: The Surgical Strike', passed away on Monday evening. He played the role of the home minister in the Vicky Kaushal-starrer.

Sharing the news of his demise, Cine And TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) wrote on their official Twitter handle, “CINTAA expresses its deepest condolence on the demise of Shri Navtej Hundal. May his soul rest in peace. The cremation is at Oshiwara Crematorium, Relief Rd, Prakash Nagar, Dnyaneshwar Nagar, Jogeshwari (W) at 11:00 am”

The actor has a body of work in Bollywood for over a decade. Navtej has worked in movies like Khalnayak (1993), Tere Mere Sapne (1996), The Whispers (2009) and his last stint on big screen was Uri: The Surgical Strike.

The late actor was also an acting coach and father to TV actress, Avantika Hundal, who stars in Divyanka Tripathi’s famous show, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.

The actor is survived by his wife and two daughters.
