Pune: At least nine people were killed in a major crash on the Pune-Nashik Highway on Friday. A tempo rammed into a minivan consisting of nine passengers, which then crashed into a stationary bus near Narayangaon.

All nine occupants of the minivan were killed, said Pankaj Deshmukh, superintendent of police, Pune Rural. An investigation is ongoing, he added.
