A two and a half year old boy died after falling into an open sewer in Khera Khurd village, outer north Delhi, amid heavy rain on Saturday morning. Police said the incident occurred around 10.30 am on Furni Road while the child was playing outside his home. 

According to PTI, his parents alerted neighbours and called the police when he went missing. The boy was pulled from the sewer and taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The case was reported at the Narela Industrial Area Police Station at 11.15 am.
