The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the online application process for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET-UG) 2026. Candidates seeking admission to degree courses in Central Universities and participating State, Deemed, or Private universities across India can apply through the official website, cuet.nta.nic.in. The last date for submitting the online application is January 30.
As per the NTA schedule, the Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be held from May 11 to May 31.
Documents required for registration
- Aadhaar Card- Aadhaar Card should be updated with correct name, date of birth (as per class 10th certificate), latest photograph, address and father's name.
- UDID card (for Persons with Disabilities)- UDID Card/Disability Certificate should be valid, updated and renewed as required.
- Category certificate-The category certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) should be updated and valid.
Things to remember
- Only online applications are accepted
- Candidates should not file multiple applications.
- Candidate must choose maximum five subjects, including languages and general aptitude, irrespective of subjects opted in class 12.
- For candidates in the General category, ₹1,000 must be paid for up to three subjects, and ₹400 for each additional subject. Candidates belonging to the OBC (NCL)/EWS categories should pay ₹900 for three subjects and ₹375 for each additional subject. Candidates from the SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender categories should pay ₹800 for three subjects and ₹350 for each additional subject.

How to apply?
Step 1: Visit cuet.nta.nic.in
Step 2: Under the "Candidate Corner" section, click on "CUET UG 2026 Registration".
Step 3: Enter the required details
Step 4: Upload scanned documents in the specified format
Step 5: Pay the application fee online. The transaction must be completed before 11.50 pm on January 31.
Step 6: Submit the form and download a copy for reference.
