New Delhi: Commercial LPG prices were increased by ₹195.50 on Wednesday, driven by a sharp rise in global oil prices amid the escalating West Asia conflict.
Following the revision, a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder is priced at ₹2,078.50 in Delhi, according to state-owned oil companies.
This comes after the previous hike of ₹114.5 per 19-kg cylinder on March 1.
However, domestic LPG prices remain unchanged. The cost of a 14.2-kg household cylinder, last raised by ₹60 on March 7, continues to stand at ₹913 in Delhi.
State-run oil marketing companies — Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum — revise LPG and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices on the first day of each month based on international benchmarks and currency fluctuations.
Global oil prices have surged by nearly 50 per cent due to disruptions in energy supply chains caused by the ongoing West Asia conflict.
Meanwhile, petrol and diesel prices have remained steady since a ₹2 per litre cut in March last year, with petrol priced at ₹94.72 per litre and diesel at ₹87.62 per litre in Delhi.
