Charummood (Alappuzha): A calf with six legs! The freak was delivered by the cow in the house of Sadasivan of Sanal Bhavan, Komallur, Chunakkara. It was the first delivery of the cow.
The residents of the house saw the male calf with the cow around 5.30 am, but did not find anything amiss. However, the anomaly was noticed when the calf was feeding on the cow’s milk. The extra legs are near the neck.
A veterinary surgeon who examined the calf said that the extra legs will not pose any health issues. If needed, the additional legs could be surgically removed, he said.
Hearing the news, hundreds of people reached Sadasivan’s house to see the unique calf.
