Kochi: Malayalam filmmaker K K Haridas passed away here on Sunday. He directed 15 films in a career spanning over two decades. 

He was admitted to a private hospital here in the morning with some respiratory problems. He breathed his last around 11.45 am. Haridas is a native of Pathanamthitta.

Haridas, 52, started his career as an assistant in the 80s and since then has worked as an associate in 48 films before turning into a full time director. He has directed a total of 20 films.

Jayaram-starrer Vadhu Doctoraanu (1994) is his debutant film. His other works include Kokkarakko, Kaakkaykkum Poochaykkum Kalyaanam, Kinnam Katta Kallan, Kalyanappittannu and Panchapaandavar.
