Kochi: Artists and art lovers came together at the iconic Durbar Hall in Kochi to extend their support to those devastated in the floods.

The Kerala Lalitkala Academy and a fraternity of artists called 'Kalakaar' set up an exhibition at Kochi titled 'Kaalavarsham Kalaavarsham,' meaning 'Rainy days, rain of art' in support of the flood victims.

The show, which featured over 200 artists and over 1000 art works from volunteering artists, went on for three days from August 27.

The proceeds from the sale of the art works, priced between Rs 1,000-1,500, were donated to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF).

The cost of the acrylic medium art works is being borne by the Lalit Kala Academy.
