Benoy P Alias, 56, Palanattu House, North Punnamattom, Kadavoor P O, son of P V Alias and the late Aleyamma, passed away in California on September 26. He was an asylum officer with the US Citizenship and Immigration Services at San Francisco.

He suffered a brain haemorrhage three days ago and went into a coma, never to return. He is survived by wife, Geena, and sons Sam and Benjamin. Brothers Santhosh P Alias and Biju P Alias, sister Shymole Baby. Funeral in New York later.
