The admit cards for AFCAT - Air Force Common Admission Test - scheduled for February 16 and 17 is available on its official website. It will also be send through email to the candidate’s mail id.
Candidates need to log in using registered mail id and password.
AFCAT 1 2019 exam will be conducted at various online centres across the country. It is the first stage of the selection procedure for air force aspirants.
The candidates who clear the cut-off in the first stage will be called for further tests by the Service Selection Board. The examination will be conducted in two shifts starting at 7.30 am and 12.30 pm on February 16 and 17.
The examination will be conducted only in online mode and the question paper will include questions on General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning and Military Aptitude.
The Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) for candidates who have applied for ground duty in technical branch will comprise of questions from Mechanical, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics.
Both AFCAT and EKT will be set in multiple choice pattern. Duration of AFCAT examination is two hours and EKT will be for 45 minutes.
Candidates can make themselves familiar with the procedure of online examination by making use of the practice test available on the Web Portal
Candidates are expected to carry along with them, the admit card issued by the authorities, a copy of the photo used while registering the application, his/her Aadhaar card, another valid photo identity card such as PAN card/ passport/ driving licence/ voter identity card/ college identity card with details of name, father’s name and date of birth and a ballpoint pen (blue or black) for signing on the attendance sheet and rough work.
Candidates are also advised not to bring any valuable/costly item to the exam centres, as safe keeping of the same cannot be assured by the examination authorities.
Communication/ electronic/ digital/ wireless devices, textual or stationery materials, personal items like ornaments, wallet, purse, wrist band, head gear, scarf, goggles, jacket, food, drinks etc. will not permitted inside the examination hall. Consumption of tobacco or alcoholic products is strictly prohibited inside the exam centre premises.
In the exam hall, candidates should ensure that they have given their biometric attendance and they paste a passport size colour photograph, give their thumb impression (right for women and left for men), sign (before exam), write the Session ID number (auto generated after logging in for examination), and again sign to mark their attendance (during exam) on the attendance sheet.
Similarly, candidates are required to sign and give their thumb impression on the admit card also. Candidates need to be cautious that there is no paint or henna on their fingers which is likely to affect the thumb impression.
The authorities have declared that the request for change of venue or date of examination will not be entertained under any circumstances.
