Binoy Kodiyeri to undergo DNA test on Tuesday
A Bihar native had alleged that Binoy had sexually abused her for years under the pretext of marriage and that she had a son from this relationship with him.

Mumbai: The paternity test of Binoy Kodiyeri, the son of CPM's Kerala secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, would be held on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the division bench of the Bombay High Court has ordered Binoy to give his blood samples over a sexual abuse complaint against him.

The test results should be handed over to the High Court registrar in a sealed cover, the HC bench asked.

Binoy had apprised the court that he was ready for the DNA test. He has also said that he would cooperate with the probe.

The court gave the instruction while considering a petition by Binoy in which he sought to quash the case against him.

As per the conditions of the anticipatory bail granted to him earlier, Binoy has to appear at the Oshiwara police station in Mumbai every Monday. The local court had also asked him to give the blood samples if necessary for the probe.

On the very first day he appeared at the police station, the cops had asked for the blood samples. However, Binoy sought more time. During the next visit, he submitted a medical certificate as proof of his ill health so that he could be spared of giving the blood sample. The probe officer was not present during the third time and the samples were not given.

After which, the High Court asked him to give the blood samples.

A Bihar native had alleged that Binoy had sexually abused her for years under the pretext of marriage and that she had a son from this relationship with him.
