Kottayam: A year after the devastating 2018 deluge, Kerala is once again being battered by heavy rains with landslips and floods wreaking havoc claiming many lives across the state. Thousands of people have been evacuated from sensitive places in various districts.
The state government has called in central forces and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) for rescue missions. The administration in each of the districts has opened relief camps and helpline numbers to help the people in need.
