COVID-19: Four Keralites die abroad, death toll crosses 50

Dubai: Four more Keralites have lost their lives to COVID-19, the deadly pandemic that has infected over nine lakh people across the world.

Sebastian, 63, who hails from Mannanam in Kottayam district died in Chicago in the US and Kottayam native Anooj Kumar, 44, a nurse working in London died on Tuesday.

Malappuram native Mohammed Usain, 53, died in Al Ain in UAE on Monday. He is survived by his wife and three kids. He will be buried in Al Ain.

Another Keralite from Adatt in Thrissur district also succumbed to the disease in UAE. Sivadasan, 41, died at the Rashid Hospital in Dubai on Tuesday. He is survived by wife Suraja and two daughters, Ameya and Akshara.

With this, the number of Keralites who succumbed to the virus rise to 53. US alone reported nearly half these deaths. As many as 20 have died in the Gulf countries.
