Reenu Jeffin, the LDF candidate for the local body elections who is contesting from the Karimannoor division in the Idukki district panchayat, has a history of beating her opponents- but not at the polls.

Reenu, the Kerala Congress (M) representative for Karimannoor, has a black belt in karate.

Reenu, who has been practising karate since she was in class I, does not miss her daily training even after becoming a candidate. She also practises boxing. She undergoes training at Thattakuzha in Thodupuzha.

Reenu is a Kerala Congress (M) representative. Indu Sudhakaran (UDF) and Ambili (NDA) are the opposition candidates.
