Kerala Legislative Assembly Election | Here are the 140 constituencies

Thiruvananthapuram: On Tuesday, April 6, over 2.75 crore voters will elect their representatives for the Kerala Legislative Assembly, known in the local parlance as the Niyamasabha. 

The Assembly is composed of 140 elected members representing the 140 electoral constituencies and two nominated members. 

Out of the 140 constituencies, 14 are reserved for Scheduled Castes and two Reserved for Scheduled Tribes.

The counting of votes is scheduled for May 2.

A party or coalition requires a minimum of 71 seats in the House to stake a claim for the formation of the government.

In the 2016 assembly elections, the Left Democratic Front had won 91 seats, defeating the United Democratic Front, which could win only 47 seats.
