Palakkad: A five-month-old baby kidnapped by a gang at Pollachi in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday was found at a house near Anamalai on Thursday.

The Anamalai police told Onmanorama that the baby is unharmed.

The baby was reportedly found in custody of a couple that do not have children. This has led to the suspicion that the abductors might have sold the baby.

The Tamil Nadu police had deputed five special teams to probe the incident.

Earlier on the day, CCTV visuals of the incident had gone viral. In that, a group of youngsters, who arrived in a car, kidnapped the child while engaging in a casual conversation with the parents.

A youth took the baby in his arms under the pretence of cuddling the infant and took her to the car.

The mother can be seen rushing behind the youth soon after.
