President Ram Nath Kovind begins his four-day Kerala visit

Kannur: Indian President Ram Nath Kovind, who arrived in Kerala for a four-day official visit, was accorded a warm reception at the Kannur International Airport on Tuesday.

The Air Force special flight carrying the President, his wife Savitha Kovind and their daughter Swathi landed at the airport at 12:35pm.

He was received by Governor Arif Muhammed Khan, Minister for Local Self Governments M V Govindan, State Police Chief Anil Kanth, State Administration Department Principal Secretary K R Jyothilal, Kannur City Police COmmissioner R Ilango and Kizhallur Gram Panchayat President K V Mini.

He then proceeded to participate in the fifth convocation of the Central University of Kerala at Periya in Kasaragod district. He will come back to the airport in the evening before travelling to Kochi.

December 22: Visit to Southern Naval Command in Kochi & Vikrant Cell
December 23: Unveiling of P N Panikker’s bronze statue at Thiruvananthapuram; Visit to Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple
December 24: Return to Delhi
