Kerala govt announces reshuffle of IPS officers on New Year's eve

The government of Kerala issued an order on New Year's eve announcing the reshuffle of several IPS officers.

Balram Kumar Upadhyay and Mahipal Yadav have been promoted to the grade of Additional Director General of Police.

Inspector General of Police (IG), South Zone, Harshita Attaluri has been transferred and posted as Intelligence IG.

P Prakash has been offered the vacant South Zone IG post in addition to the charge of Managing Director, Kerala Police Housing & Construction Corporation.

G Sparjan Kumar has been posted as the Commissioner of Thiruvananthapuram City. He was earlier IG Crimes, Thiruvananthapuram, a post which will now be occupied by KP Philip.

Inspector General AV George has been made the new Commissioner of Kozhikode City.

Anup Kuruvilla John will be holding the additional charge of Anti Terrorist Squad, besides functioning as IG, Traffic & Road Safety Management.

R Nishathini has been promoted to Deputy IG, Thiruvananthapuram Range while the officer who was holding the post, Kori Sanjaykumar Gurudin has been posted as Deputy IG, Armed Police Battalions.
