Kochi:In a major twist to the actor attack case in which actor Dileep is an accused, the witness, who had earlier turned hostile in the court, has informed the prosecution through a friend that he is now ready to reveal the 'truth'. The prosecution has not disclosed the name of the witness involved.

In the complaint given to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan by film director Balachandra Kumar who raised serious allegations against Dileep in connection with the case, there was a mention of a witness named Sagar. The complaint gave a detailed account of the circumstances in which Sagar turned hostile in the court and how he was induced by the accused side.

Balachandra Kumar gave the memorandum to the Chief Minister, saying that he wanted police protection since he was living under the fear of threat to life after relinquishing the responsibility of the director of the movie in which Dileep is an actor-cum-producer.

Balachandra Kumar claimed that it was in his presence that a person coming from Dubai handed over the tablet to Dileep that contained the visuals of Pulsar Suni intimidating the actress in the car. He also said that Dileep called him to watch the clippings.

Meanwhile, the police inquiry team sought legal advice for putting Balachandra Kumar to lie-detector test so as to check the credibility of his allegations since the trial in the case has reached the final stage.
