Wayanad: Sixteen people, including Kirmani Manoj who is the second accused in the brutal murder of Revolutionary Marxist Party (RMP) leader T P Chandrasekharan, have been taken into custody for allegedly organising a drug party in a Wayanad resort.
The gang was nabbed on charges of holding a drug party at the wedding anniversary of notorious goon Kambalakkad Muhsin at a resort in Padinjarathara, Wayanad. The bust happened during a raid led by the district police chief following a tip-off received on Monday night.
The police also found drugs including MDMA and cannabis from the group, Manorama News reported.

RMP leader TP Chandrasekharan, from Onchiyam village in Kozhikode, whom the CPM dubbed a dissident, was murdered on May 4, 2012. He received 51 ante-mortem injuries, according to the post-mortem report.
Manoj, a life-term prisoner at Viyyur Central Jail, is out on parole.
