Kaipamangalam: A youth, who entered an ATM kiosk at night, was in for a shock as he found a snake behind the machine.
The nearly four-feet-long cobra, locally knowns as Pullani Moorkhan, was lurking behind the narow space between the ATM and the pillar.
After the police were informed, wildlife conservationist Hari Mathilakam was called in and the snake was caught.
The snake was later released into the forest.
The snake could have entered the ATM kiosk through the door left open by some customer earlier.
The incident happened around 10.30 pm at Kaipamangalam in Thrissur district on Monday night.
