Munnar: The Idukki district committee of the CPM has now come up with a list of charges against S Rajendran, ex-MLA of Devikulam and former member of the party's district committee, who was suspended from the primary membership of the party the other day.

The press release, issued by party district president CV Varghese, listed out one by one the "anti-party activities" committed by Rajendran.

The press release said that the party inquiry committee found that Rajendran had acted against the party's policies and decisions during the last Assembly elections.

One of the main allegations is that Rajendran had made deliberate attempts to ensure the defeat of A Raja, the Left Democratic Front candidate in Devikulam in the last Assembly polls.

Rajendran said that he would reveal certain things before the media on February 5 in response to the charges levelled by the CPM district secretary against him.

Acting on the recommendations of the party district secretariat, the party State Committee had decided to suspend him from the primary membership of the party for one year.
