Kochi: The results of the forensic examination of the mobile phones of actor Dileep and other accused in the conspiracy case have been submitted to the court. They could be sent to the Forensic Science Lab in Bangalore with the permission of the court if a more detailed examination is necessary.

The inquiry team is analysing the forensic report. Based on the report, Dileep's brother and an accused in the case, Anoop, will be questioned by the Crime Branch at its Kalamassery office on Monday.

Dileep and his brother-in-law TN Suraj will be questioned later after the probe team analyses Anoop's statement and the forensic report.

The main mobile phone, which the police were looking for, could not be traced yet. The defence party had submitted in the court all phones except this. Later, these mobile phones were sent to Thiruvananthapuram for forensic examination.

As per the case Dileep and the co-accused conspired to kill police officials who had investigated the 2017 actress assault case.

Meanwhile, the Crime Branch will have to submit the status report on the reinvestigation into the latter case in the trial court on March 1. The two teams of the Crime Branch are reinvestigating the five-year-old case.
