Kochi: The police have submitted the chargesheet against eight persons, including No 18 hotel owner Roy Vayalat, in the case related to the death of Miss Kerala former winner Ansi Kabeer, runner-up Anjana Shajan and their friend Muhammed Ashiq in a car accident at Chakkaraparambu in Kochi last November.

Abdul Rahiman, who reportedly drove the car in an inebriated condition, was arraigned as the first accused in the chargesheet filed in the Ernakulam Judicial First- Class Magistrate Court.

Saiju M Thankachan, who chased the car in which the models were travelling, had also been named as a prime accused in the case.

According to the chargesheet, the accident resulted after Saiju chased the car at a high speed.

The chargesheet also stated that Roy and Saiju had asked the models to stay back in the hotel after the DJ party with an ulterior motive.

The other accused in the case are staff members of No 18 hotel.
