Man killed in brawl between vendors at Sivaratri Manappuram in Aluva

A man was killed reportedly following a drunken brawl between people who had set up stalls at the Sivaratri Manappuram in Aluva.

The deceased was identified as Thottakattukara-native Dileep (42). His relative Raju and a friend, Salim, have been arrested.

According to reports, Dileep and relative Raju got into an argument and were joined by a friend, Salim.

In the ensuing brawl, Dileep was beaten to death. The incident reportedly occurred by 11 am and from visuals taken by an onlooker, Salim is seen beating Dileep with a stick.

Dileep's body has been moved to Taluk Hospital at Aluva. The post-mortem will be held on Wednesday.
