A complaint against actor Vinayakan has been filed with the Kerala Women's Commission over his controversial remarks during a promotional event of his recent release 'Oruthee' starring Navya Nair.

OBC Morcha has filed a complaint on the actor who trivialised the MeToo movement against sexual abuse.

While addressing mediapersons, Vinayakan made some sexist comments  stirring a row.

Vinayakan, against whom a MeToo complaint was raised by a Dalit activist, had also made an inappropriate comment at a woman journalist.

Earlier on the day, Vinayakan took to Facebook to apologise for his comments made at the woman journalist. "I apologise to the woman journalist sister who was upset by my language that was not intentional," he wrote.

Vinayakan, has, however, yet to respond to the opposition to his other remarks.
