Water level crosses 140 ft in Mullaperiyar, TN govt issues first warning

Mullaperiyar: The water levels at Mullaperiyar dam crossed 140 ft on Saturday. The Tamil Nadu government has issued the first warning ahead of opening the dam.

The TN government had issued a warning on November 9 as well.

The dam will be opened if the water level crosses 142 ft.

The dam shutters were last raised in September.
