Thiruvananthapuram: SFIO (Serious Fraud Investigation Office) officials on Wednesday visited the office of the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) during a probe into Exalogic Solutions owned by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's daughter Veena. A 3-member team headed by SFIO Deputy Director inspected the office.

KSIDC holds 13.4% stake in Cochin Minerals & Rutile (CMRL). KSIDC, an organization under the Department of Industries, had assigned a senior Supreme Court lawyer to plead the case in the High Court.

Deputy Director M Arun Prasad is in charge of the investigation. Last day, the investigation team had visited the Income Tax Department headquarters in Ernakulam and collected information on the case.

SFIO is a statutory agency under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs tasked with investigating corporate fraud. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has ordered a probe on the allegation that Veena received Rs 1.72 crore in payment from Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL) without providing any services.
