Pathanamthitta: One person died and five others were injured on Friday while returning from Sabarimala, as the car they were travelling in lost control and fell into a pit near the Chalakkayam-Pampa road. The deceased is Babu (63) from Changanassery, Kottayam. Despite being immediately rushed to Nilakkal Government Hospital, he could not be saved.

Nine-year-old Aarushi, Sasi, and Arjun were seriously injured in the accident and have been shifted to Kottayam Medical College Hospital. The driver of the car and another co-passenger were also admitted to the hospital.
