Chennai: A Malayali youth and his friend were killed in a bike accident at Pallikaranai here on Sunday. The deceased are Vishnu (24), a native of Palakkad residing in Chennai, and Gokul (24), a resident of Pammal.

The accident occurred when their bike collided with a barricade while returning from a weekend celebration. Police stated that the accident was caused by overspeeding and riding under the influence of alcohol. Both died at the scene.
