Thiruvananthapuram: A 19-year-old youth drowned in the sea off the Thiruvananthapuram coast while taking a bath with his friends on Wednesday. The deceased is Joshua (19), a native of Marianad. Search operations are underway to trace his friend Nevin (18), who went missing in the sea.

According to the police, Joshua, Nevin, and their friends reached the beach around 10 am. However, Joshwa and Nevin got trapped in the deep waters while taking a bath. Despite their friends' attempts to rescue them, they were swept away by the turbulent waves.

Meanwhile, another youth named Arun went missing in the sea near the Anchuthengu coast. Coastal police and fishermen have launched a search operation to trace him. According to reports, rescuers have not yet located Arun.
