The Kerala High Court on Monday said it could not issue an order preventing Rahul Easwar's arrest as no case has been registered against him so far. Justice PV Kunhikrishnan made the observation while considering Easwar's anticipatory bail plea after the Ernakulam Central Police received two complaints about his alleged offensive comments against actor Honey Rose.

The court also sought clarification from the Kerala police on the incident and posted the matter to January 27.

Earlier, the Ernakulam Central Police confirmed receiving a complaint against Easwar from a Thrissur resident who accused him of making offensive comments about Rose during a television debate. Rose filed her complaint against Easwar during her visit to the police station to give a statement in another case involving businessman Boby Chemmanur.
