Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Lottery's Christmas-New Year Bumper has achieved record sales this year, with just 13 days left for the draw. As of January 23, a total of 33,78,990 tickets have been sold out of the 40 lakh distributed, marking an increase of nearly 11 lakh tickets compared to last year.

Priced at Rs 400, the ticket offers a grand first prize of Rs 20 crore.

Palakkad district emerged as the top seller, with 6,95,650 tickets sold. Thiruvananthapuram followed with 3,92,290 tickets, and Thrissur secured third place with 3,60,280 tickets sold.

The lottery includes lucrative prizes: Rs 1 crore each for 20 second-prize winners, Rs 10 lakh each for 30 winners (three per series) as the third prize, Rs 3 lakh each for 20 winners (two per series) as the fourth prize, and Rs 2 lakh each for another 20 winners (two per series) as the fifth prize.
