Wayanad/Kozhikode: Four tourists, all natives of Wayanad, drowned at the Kallakath Beach at Thikkodi in Kozhikode. The deceased are Faisal (42) from Vellaramkunnu, Bineesh (45) from Kalpetta, Aneesa (38) from Tharuvana, and Vani (32) from Amblery.

They were part of a 26-member group from the 'Body Shape' gym at Kalpetta, Wayanad, which included both gym members and their families. Aneesa was a trainer at the gym.

The incident happened around 4 pm on Sunday when five members of the team entered the sea. While four of them drowned, Jincy, the fifth individual, managed to escape and reach the shore. She is currently receiving treatment at the Taluk Hospital, Koyilandy.

The Koyilandy Police and Fire and Rescue team were alerted, arrived at the location, and conducted the search operation based on the information provided by Jincy.
