Thrissur: The funeral of C P Chacko, father of actor Shine Tom Chacko, who died in a road accident in Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu, will be held on Monday morning at Parikarmala Matha Church, Mundur. Chacko's mortal remains were brought to Thrissur on Friday night. The body arrived at Jubilee Mission Hospital around 10.30 pm and was later shifted to the mortuary.

Shine Tom Chacko and his mother, Maria Carmel, who were injured in the early morning accident on Friday, are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Thrissur. Their condition is reported to be stable. Maria sustained spinal injuries, while Shine suffered injuries to his hand. Both are expected to undergo surgery, and further treatment decisions will be made after consultation with specialists.

Shine’s sisters, Sumi and Riya, who are currently abroad, are expected to arrive in Thrissur by early Sunday morning. Chacko's body will be kept for public homage at their residence in Mundur from 4 pm on Sunday. Meanwhile, Union Minister Suresh Gopi and members of the film industry visited Shine at the hospital to extend their support.
