Thiruvananthapuram: A baby monkey that had suffered an electric shock and was left unconscious was rescued by a beat forest officer near the Golden Valley check post in Ponmudi, Vithura.

The incident occurred during a scuffle among a group of monkeys when the infant monkey came into contact with a live wire and fell to the ground. The impact left it trembling and unresponsive. P S Arun, a beat forest officer from Kalankavu who was on duty at the time, rushed to help. He gently picked up the monkey and administered CPR right there on the spot.

Due to his quick thinking and timely intervention, the baby monkey regained consciousness and soon climbed back into the trees. The heartwarming rescue was captured on a mobile phone by a passerby from Kottayam and quickly went viral on social media.
