Payyannur: The curtains have fallen on an extraordinary musical journey a Payyannur as the 20th edition of the Thuriyam Music Fest, held at Pothakandam Anandabhavanam, drew to a close after 111 nights filled with soul-stirring performances. A total of 555 musicians graced the stage, making this year's celebration even more memorable than last year’s 101-day edition.

The final day was marked by a performance by acclaimed Hindustani vocalist Pandit Raghunandan Panishkar, who transported the audience into a different realm. He was accompanied by Prasad Kammath on the harmonium and Mayank Badekar on the table.

Swami Krishnanda Bharathi presided over the concluding function. T Padmanabhan, M Mukundan, Prabha Varma, Chalachitra Academy Chairman Premkumar, musician Vidyadharan, Aahna Vrinda, Major General Indra Balan and Colonel Paramveer Singh Nagra spoke on the occasion.

Swami Krishnanda Bharathi preented Thuriyam Keerthimudra to Vidyadharan , honouring his remarkable contributions to music.

The final evening concluded with a rendition of the Pancharatna Keerthanams by Dr Kashyap Mahesh, Bala Gireesh and Moozhikkulam Hareesh. They were accompanied by a stellar ensemble including N C Madhav and Viju S Anand (violin), Prapancham Mukyaprana (flute), B Harikumar, Selam K Sreenivasan, Koppu Nagarajan (mridangam), Alathur T Taj Ganesh, Thenkashi H Paramasivam (ganjira), Aditya Nelloor Anil Kumar (ghatam), and Malaikottai R M Deenadayal and Vishnupuram K Reghu (mukhar shankh).
