Kozhikode: The tableau depiction ‘MT Ezhuthinte Athmavu’ was a creative exploration into the magical world of MT Vasudevan Nair’s stories. The eternal wait by Vimala in Manju, the innocent love between Bapputty and Sainaba in Olavum Theeravum and the delusion of Velayudhan in Iruttinte Athmavu were presented on the stage while reminiscing the memories of the writer himself. 

MT Ezhuthinte Athmavu organised by Sabarmati Study and Research Centre for Arts and Culture Theatre Village in Cheruvannur, Perambra was presented at the Town Hall to a packed audience. This creative performance recalled the golden era of Malayalam literature by rereading the writings of MT Vasudevan Nair. The characters were seen engaging in conversations with the writer who created them. 

Sabarmati had presented MT Ezhuthinte Athmavu as a tribute to the legendary MT Vasudevan Nair. MT Ezhuthinte Athmavu featured many cine and theatre artists like Akam Ashok, Pradeep Mudra, Sathyan Mudra, KC Karunakaran, Suresh Padikkal, Sruthy Vysakh and Uthara Manoj. Sangeet Natak Academy award winner Preman Muchukunnu directed the piece while it was written by Amsis Muhammad. The beautiful songs penned by Ramesh Kavil were composed and rendered by Ajay Gopal. Meanwhile, the stage design is by Nitheesh Pookad. Pradeep Iringal and Kalamandalam Sheena Pradeep did the choreography while the light settings were by Anoop Puna. Ranjish Avala was the coordinator of the event. 

K Sreekumar, KS Venkitachalam, Wilson Samuel, Sabarmati director Ajay Gopal and Ramesh Kavil spoke at the event. Meanwhile, noted theatre artists like A Ratnakaran, Vijayan V Nair, Vijayan Karanthoor, Usha Chandrababu, Jayaraj Kozhikode and Appuni Shashi were felicitated.
