Perumbavoor: While the husband protects the forests, the wife maintains law and order in the district. P Karthik has assumed charge as the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Malayatoor, while his wife, M Hemalatha, serves as the Ernakulam Rural District Police Chief.
A native of Erode in Tamil Nadu, Karthik is a 2016-batch Indian Forest Service officer. He holds a degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering and previously served as the DFO in Nilambur.
