Kannur: The Iritty Eco-Park, situated at Perumparamba in Payam Panchayat, now offers a refreshed experience for visitors following its redevelopment. Located on the banks of the  Perumparamba River, the park has been upgraded with enhanced amenities under the Tourism Department’s Destination Challenge Project. The initiative aims to develop at least one new tourism destination within each local self-governing institution in Kerala.

The redevelopment was made possible through an investment of ₹50 lakh from the Tourism Department and ₹40 lakh from the Payam Panchayat. The revamped park now features a variety of attractions, including a children’s play area with multiple rides, sculptures of animals and birds, open meadows, a watchtower, an amphitheatre, walkways, and seating areas. The park is currently managed by a Village Green Council, formed by the Panchayat.
